Do you know anyone that just doesn't listen to music?

A person who just has no real preference or personal taste in music? They drive around with their car radio off, don't really have a stereo in their house, and if asked to name 5 bands they like they probably couldn't do it.

I've known a couple people like this, and honestly I feel a little bit sorry for them. Our lives are so much richer by virtue of music, and I think it's kind of sad that some people don't feel and cultivate that connection. Like they're missing out on something really good but just don't care.

I know everyone is wired a little bit different and that there will always be exceptions to what most people identify with, but I don't think I'll ever understand this. If you ask me, it doesn't matter what you love, just as long as you love something...

I knew one guy who lothed music.

I can't remember his name, he was in the year above me in highschool, he was a total jackass, I didn't like him much, but I tried to get a long with him. We found a metal dildo in his bag once, I shit you not.

He droped out in year 10 (when I was in year 9). I remember when I was in year 8 (1999) I asked him what music he likes, and he said he doesn't like music. I spat out about 5 or 6 bands, and he said he did like them. I threw a few genres around and he said he didn't like it.

I didn't understand...I wonder where he is now...

We picked on him a fair bit. By "we" I mean the group I was in, we did a lot of funny shit, we threw his bag aroung (I didn't personally), we rarely teased him EVER, and we found the metal dildo I mentioned, a good 8 inches of a perfectly shaped penis, we threw that around laughing our asses off. Fun times, but we shouldn't of done it.

one of my friends doesn't really listen to music. his dorky ass listens to AM talk radio non stop. i can't stand it.

My Dad doesn't listen to much music. Maybe a CD every couple of weeks.

I used to be like that until I was around 16-17. Just never really got into any particular type. By the time I was 19 I was (and still am) into metal. Sometimes though I don't drive with the radio on, because the windows need to be rolled down and the car needs to be driven

in freshman yr, i dont think i had any cds, but there were a bunch of songs that i liked. i usually listened to it on the radio, on mtv, or from my friends cd collection. now i usually listen to it in my car, and on the computer.

I was at his pad and told him to put on some tunes my choices were two popular sublime songs and the bong song.

i personaly luv music. i have a 3000 home stereo and a 1200 car stereo in my rx7, but my good friend that sold me the rx i have now never even listened to the radio!he had it for 5 yrs with a stock tape player and i used to rank on him all the time. he was like u MBTN,he liked to listen to the car. it pissed me off so bad that i bought the car from him and put a stereo in it!!!!!!!!!!i do like to hear the car sometimes, but usually listening to something(not country!)rap, rock, techno, reggae, pretty open minded!

Well when I'm on a lengthy drive on the highway I need a cd/radio or i'd go mad listening to tire noise. Otherwise during "spirited" driving there is no need for the radio.

yeah during a spirited drive, you blank out the radio anyways, may as well turn it off.

When I was between like 9 and 11, I hated all music. Anything that was music, seriously hurt my ears. If I came home and there was music on, I would cover my ears, run to my room, and yell turn that music off!!

I don't really get it. I love music now. Its a huge part of my life. I have to have music, which is why I love car stereos, which is why I am going to get certified as a MECP and eventually own my own stereo shop... Gotta have music.

My uncle kinda doesnt listen to music. He has a cd player, but he doesnt like it because he cant put his gospel tapes in it. He has a few christian cd's (which are sooo boring) but they usually are just on loud enough for you to hear that something is playing, but not actually hear it. I think he just doesnt care to turn it off or turn it up. I think its kinda weird.

rickwithatbird- where did u get certified?i got my mecp certification also from r.i.t.o.p. in massachusettes. when u own ur own shop, ill come be your head installer!lol. ya, i also love car stereos cause of my love for music. just thinkin of my first car, 88 tbird 5.0 with 2 1000 jbl 12's. shit bumped for 1996!!!
