(8 Bonneville Supercharger problem
I have 98 Bonneville SSEi the boost preasure never reaches more than
zero under hard power. Car is running great never stalls or stumbles no strange noises coming from supercharger. Was wondering could the belt be slipping, the boost gauge needle seems to be working okay just won't go above zero and no more kick in the pants power. Any thoughts or ideas would be great. |

Re: (8 Bonneville Supercharger problem
Mass Air flow sensor maybe. Or, take off the hose from the filterbox to the throttle body. there should be small screen infront of the throttle body. I read somewhere that if you take it off, it increases power. Needless to say, mine acted just like your description, when I removed the screen. I put it back on, and now it runs great. So, either your screen is messed, or the MAF isn't right.

Check the vacuum hoses feeding the boost solenoid. The boost gage is actually a vacuum gage. Also check for vacuum leaks around the intake manifold.
