Talking Is it good?

alright, here is the deal. I am a big fan of the fox body mustangs. I really like them the best out of what Ford has come out with for the past few years (well, really from 94-now). So i am trying to find a fox body. But the other day, i come across a realy nice 1994 mustang. Here are the general specs:
1994 Mustang GT Convertible
It is green with tan clothe interior.
Full power everything (windows, doors, seats, cd, whatevas)
Since it is a 94 of course it has the 5.0l engine in it.
IT has had only one owner
only has 82,000 miles on it
Perfect interior and engine compartment. If it was brand new it couldn't look any nicer. It looks like it has never been driven.
I took it for a test drive and it was the first mustang i have ever driven, so i have no basis for comparison, but it drived really nice (i.e. burnout )
They are asking 6400 total, that means including tax and registration and everything. What do you guys think of this deal. I really like it, but am hesitnet becuase I really do like teh fox body, better then the SN95 body. So i am torn. This seems like a really good deal. Almost a once in a lifetime deal, so i am unsure what to do.
Also, how are the aftermarket parts for a car of this year. Becuase it is still a 5.0l engine, but it does have that new body, and that config was only ther for two years. So i am not sure. I know this is a long post, but thanks for your thoughts.

It's a good deal but it's not like the deal of the century by any means. Just cause I can get a great deal on a Civic doesn't mean I'm going to get it if it's not what I want. As far as parts don't worry they are a million parts for SN-95 5.0 Stangs.

sounds like a deal to me; but if you are going to forget your fox bodied aspirations you should be sure you will be happy with your decision.

Re: Is it good?

I don't think it's that great of a deal, you will come across so many mustangs 5.0's at very reasonable prices nowadays. My advise is not to jump at the first car you see or test drive. Hold out for what you really want, cause there will always be something better down the line.

Hey maybe I can give you a little advice. This is Ironic because I just bought this exact same car about two years ago.
94 Mustang GT Convertible Green with peanut butter top. This is my first mustang, I opted for the 94 GT because I wanted that new body style and the 5.0 litre engine. I test drove a 2000 Gt and was not impressed at all by the 4.6 litre. Now don't get me wrong I love this car but me being the gear head I am probably should have gotten a hard top. As a rule of thumb convertibles are heavier than hard tops. Also 94 and 95 mustangs are heavier than fox bodies. So us sn95 guys have to produce lots more horsepower to run 12's versus a less modified fox body.
So figure out whats more important to you. You can make this convertible run. Mine does I run mid 13's. Once I correct my traction problems I'll probably run better but if this was a fox body, with the mods on this car I would be in 12's right now. You can see this car on ebay if you like, I'm selling the wheels item(2444679516)

Hope I helped you.
