That's good news! It's a good news day, son!

well, i blew up the motor in my Prelude. I dropped the cat, stuffed her full of race gas, turned up the boost...

and then i tanked up on some Chevron Supreme after almost emptying the tank, the high temp today was about 20 degrees higher than the past week, and i forgot to dial down the boost.....

so now i'm smoking more than Cheech and Chong.

but the good news... my friend will bore and hone my block for $100. the block i'm getting is an H22A1 (solid deck). JE forged turbo pistons, 9:1 compression, 88mm bore (1mm over), and Eagle H-beam rods. Balance the crank while it's out then start running 15psi when she's back in the car.

sometimes bad news can turn around quickly after a quick look at the bank account.

thank goodness i have the money on the side *whew*

Damn drift! what were you doing? Were you at the strip or were you just screwing around?

Well like you said, aleast you get a fully "re-inforced" motor out of it. Tell us how it goes.

Breaking things is always a great excuse to make them stronger. Good luck, keep us updated, and pay attention to that boost setting.

maybe in 3 weeks at the soonest, since it's gonna take up this week just waiting on parts.

the block will be here next weekend, and be in the shop for 3-4 days. once everything else arrives, it'll be dropped in and balanced.
