Tamiya SARD Supra

To those that have built the Tamiya SARD Supra, is it possible not to put on the fender flares? Im not really sure, but i think it possible but needs a little modifications to the front kit. Will it effect the wheels wells in any way? And do the wheels stick out if i dont put them on? Can someone help? Thanx

Well, the rear fender flares are molded to the body so that's pretty much a lost cause. The fronts are molded separate, but not in such a way that the natural Supra bodyline is preserved. Instead, there's a big sinkline in the fender to align the flare.

And, if you're going with the kit stock wheels, yes they will jut out past the wheel well.

Personally speaking, though, the car looks good street-style with the flares. Take a look at my Supra's thread here and see what you think.

I also built a street version, well, originaly it was Sard but the decals got trashed when I moved from Cyprus to Norway. Check out the black one in my link below.

They fit OK and really need to be added or the wheels will stick out to far.

I got the Castrol one.. As said, the front fenders are removable but if you don't apply them, the car dosen't look right. I planned to make it the newer version race car, but decided to make it box stock with little added details.
