1/24 Tamiya Toyota Sard Supra GT

I've taken a break from building F1 cars as the Sard Supra was calling out to me from it's box. I've already built the Castrol Tom's Supra about a year ago and I have learned a lot since then and I want to improve on the many mistakes on it. It is 99% finished, I just need to add the rear wing and mirrors. I will get some nicer daylight pictures then as well.

For now enjoy the pictures, and let me know what I can improve on for my next build. Thanks!

Sorry for too many pictures!

Thanks! Those red decals were very brittle and tricky. I couldn't use any microsol or else the decals would melt almost competely.

very nice. my decals just cracked when i handeled them for a few seconds. So i had to mask it off instead. I love seeing Super GT cars.

Re: 1/24 Tamiya Toyota Sard Supra GT

Dave - looks an excellent job. I'm looking for 'my first kit' and an tempted by these GT Supras. Can I ask whether the red parts of the livery and stickers, or had to be painted on?
Many thanks.

Re: 1/24 Tamiya Toyota Sard Supra GT

Matt, these Supras would be a great "first kit". They're relatively simple to build, and a lot of fun. The red parts are decals, although masking off the white areas and spraying the red would probably look better if done correctly. TS-49 Bright Red would be a good match.
