1992 civic engine

I'm buying a 1992 Civic Ex Sedan w/ an auto. trans. The Sticker that tells the engine code is gone. What Engine comes in this car?

1.6L sohc vtec, the best thing to do if you want to go fast is start with a manual trans. if you must buy this car you will need to swap to a manual trans to go fast.

b/c someone told me to go to a junk yard..and pick up a 92 ex....b/c its got vtec...but then they said its going to be a pain in the ass for wiring and shit

lets start over. what is the purpose of the purchase of this car? is this car a toy or a daily driver? do you want to make a monster or just pep it up some? and what tell me for sure what car you are talking about.
