need help removing mount insert
I am trying to replace a broken mount on my '94 Grand Am (3.1l). It is the upper right mount by the pullies. I have removed the bracket, but I cannot remove the insert from within the bracket. The instructions with the replacement said to drill out two flared extrusions on the bottom, but I don't see anything that matches that description. Help! even if you don't know, point me to a site that might! My Chiltons manual has nothing on this!

Motor mount
If you turn the mount upside down, there should be two holes on the bottom. This is what your instruction paper is talking about. Just start drilling in these holes with the drill bit they recommend. If the mount doesn't come loose then take a chisel drive it between the bracket and insert. If it still will not come loose then try the next bigger size drill bit. The insert is rivited through these holes to the bracket. The new insert will bolt down through these holes.
