Need Help: 1995 Trans Sport 3.8L need help removing transmission side pan

I'm in the midst of replacing the transmission solenoids in my 95 transsport 3.8L I already have the bottom pan removed, I'm having a major problem in removing the side pan, I removed all the screws holding the sidepan in and I'm only able to move the side pan at most 1/2 inch, it's hitting part of the axle shaft , there seems to be no way to remove the sidepan without taking apart the axle shaft, can someone please let me know if there is a workaround available that doesn't require the removal of the axleshaft.

You can see the axle has to come out, secondly you should have some sort of shop manual to tackle this on a 1st time basis.

axle must be removed,,,,,why are you changing solenoids,,,something tells me you are wasting your time ,,repairing the wrong [email protected]
