2.5RS vs Solara

I'm turning 16 soon, and will probably be getting a car a month or two after my b-day. My parents will only help me buy a Japanese car, and right now I'm mainly looking at a 2.5RS or a Toyota Solara. The Solara is a little faster in 0-60 and 1/4 mile times, but the 2.5rs has AWD and solaras are FWD. Have any of you guys driven both, and if so, which is more fun to drive? Are there any other cars in the same price range(13-18 thousand) with comprable performance?

how so lucky, just 16 and you'vez gots a car

the Solara is a family car, nevermind that (although the 2004 version is very very nice)

the RS2.5, Lancer or Subaru?

there are plenty other options, why them

whachu need to watch out is insurance rate, get a 4dr. and 4 cyl. car, you are only 16

if you don't care about those, then think about if you need to drivin' others around, if so, get a bigger car

if not, get some sporty cars like the RSX, Celica, etc.
