Performance wise, dropping your si and having an exhaust sticking out of its rear should be the only giveaway if your not going to make it flashy. Go with a JDM look. Since your an Si owner why not try www.clubsi.com and find some used parts there for your car in the sale forum.
you can also hop around the members profile and check out what people have done to there cars.

Re: 2003 si
i like the seeing what other people have, but would they really have used parts for an 03 SI, and the DC exhaust isnt loud at all and it almost looks like the stock one that is why i bought it

Re: Re: 2003 si
Swap the RSX-S motor into it. Seriously. No one's gonna know, you'll get mad props from actual honda enthusiast and you'll be spanking people left and right. Throw some other actual JDM stuff onto it and call it a type-r. But i seriously doubt you have that kind of money.

Re: 2003 si
yeah i saw somthing like that...it was at INLINEFOUR ...inlinefour.com, i went down there and asked them if there was a way to get more out of the vtec but he said that for 2800 he would but the RSX-typeS head on the motor, and i have seen the RSX-typeS tranny on ebay for like 400, and i could have that put in for like 300
