91' N/T with AWD

I just got my backup car (allmotor 2.0 Talon) up to 152.3HP on the dyno reliably and with stock muffler. I also moved to a diffrent residence with a long slightly up hill driveway that resembles a rally track so now i want awd.
Will it be hard to convert from 2wd to Awd? What would I have to do? I know ill loss some of that sweet horsepower but awd is more fun. Oh I also have a friend with 90' eclipse awd turbo all stock that threw the crankshaft and blew the engine "which was his fault, I told him it was slack",but he will sell the whole car to me for $500. I think that will make my project easier.
Thanks for any feedback.

I think the best way is: sell your car, buy his car, rebuild his motor. You probably won't lose any money, and will have upgraded to turbo and all wheel drive. if you want, keep your car if you have the 500 + new motor lying around now you have 2 cars that rock.

You could always just install your block in his car. Now you have AWD NT I'm not sure what threw the crankshaft entails, but if his motor is rebuildable, then you could do that in your spare time with the possibility of throwing that motor back in later. Just a thought. Good luck.

There's no way im selling that car. It has always been garaged and wax, it has the factory like new red body and black roof paint, hasn't given me one problem, there is only like 42,000 miles on the engine, heck the clear on the roof hasn't even started to peel yet!
I don't need to drive the car and I don't mind the work, I was just wondering if the awd tranny and what not would bolt on to the engine.

Im sure the tranny would bolt up fine and you could put the awd's front halfshafts in your car easy enough, but everything from the transfer case back would probably take a bit of work. If I were you I would make sure I could get all the rear end stuff done first, because if you can get that done then everything else should relatively be cake, if not, then you just swapped out your tranny for nothing.

The hard part is swapping over the subframes and other heavy parts. All of those bolts/bolt holes will be rusted to hell. Anyone that takes on that project on an old car is insane
