Loop Holes for importing

Hi, I'm not asking for any loop holes about importing the skyline, I just need some help to prove my friend wrong because he's an idiot and believes that their are other ways to get a skyline in.

He argues that:

Import the car in parts and reassemble it labeling it as a project car or parts car.

Get the papers or documents to skip any inspection.

Any other crazy loop holes.

I haven't heard of many other ways (or any) that worked besides motorex and rb motoring making the car legal to drive. Most of all, he's trying to get the car in California, to drive in California. He's crazy so I need some examples/arguements to shut him up. Be great if you experts can help me out. Thanks.

Re: Loop Holes for importing

Well since its possible to get a kit car, or hot rod, or other home built car registered in most countrys under low volume registration laws and excemptions people also get it into thier heads that they can do the same thing for anycar, including ones that are in fact mass produced.

Its a good theory, and does work for some very limited production cars in some cases, but any inspection agent asked to legalise a skyline as a homebuilt/kitcar/hotrod is going to be able to tell imediatly that its no low volume production car, even if they have never ever seen a skyline before in thier life, or even know what one is.
The simple nature of the cars construction is a pretty clear give away.

Tell your friend that while its a nice idea, the simple fact is that the Skyline is a mass produced car, and so has to meet the same requirements as any other mass production car.
It dosnt matter how it was brought into the country, or if it was taken apart and put back together again.
