how do you know now when you re gonna need a new clutch soon?

how do you know? does it get hard to shift? does the clutch burn? does it not clamp when it usually does?

You basically listed all of the symptoms of a dying clutch right there. You may see all of them or just one.

and if the engine revs and the car does not accelerate, then the clutch is pretty much done.
