97 Bonneville gas gauge

Gas gauge in not functioning properly. Gauge shows either full tank or empty tank, no inbetween. And when it shows empty, ITS EMPTY. I keep a a gas can and good walking shoes in the trunk. Is this an easy fix?

Re: 97 Bonneville gas gauge

James,
No, it's more than likely not an easy fix. Probably the fuel sender unit at fuel tank. My 97 Bonnie SE had the exact same prob. Just use your trip meter between gas ups. I would get gas at around 300 miles indicated on trip meter.
