sequencial turbo KA?

Alright I know you cant twin turbo an inline 4, and i know you gotta sequencial turbo it, but what does that mean is it just 1 turbo bolted to another turbo? or like a little turbo to spool the bigger turbo up faster? I was wondering about this because im on my way to buying a XS turbo kit and since quite a few people have turbo Ka's why not do something different, can i just bolt another turbo to the turbo thats in there? I dont think it would work but i just want to make sure before i rule it out.

Hheheheheehe my 240s gonna be so cool ordered a S13silvia front off ebay, a wangan wing, some nice rims and the jdm tails. Got a daul apexi N1 setup that i got welded to 2 1/2 inch pipe (I know 3inch pipes are better for turbo but i have this thing sitting in my garage, i did it when i had my last 240) Im gonna get it painted glossy black too. With limo tint hatch windows and tinted fronts

from my understanding a normal daily driver cannot have 1 turbo spool up another only the big rigs are equipped with that beacause of some technical problem that would arise if u had it....and something along the lines of u not making full boost until 7000+ rpm...ill find the article and post facts here...

sequential turbos are where a small turbo is used for low RPM. say below 4000rpm then when it gets to 4000 a gate opens and lets gas into a larger secondary making it a twin turbo. ala Supra and RX-7

Twins on a 240 would be pointless although you could most likely pull the turbos from a Supra or RX-7 and then do alot of work to get them to fit / get the ECU to accept everything.

I think singles are better than twins anyway.

Some cars could use a small and large turbo, Supras use two CT26s though. It uses one until X manifold pressure is reached then begins spooling the second. As boost climbs both turbos are used; the first one spooled never cuts. I think this is FAR more common than the small/large turbo design. Go for it on your car, the problems you'll have are the manifold, which both turbos attach to, the valve that allows exhaust to reach the second turbo, and controlling the two seperate turbos. Anything can be done though, what you must ask is should it be done. I think a good T04 setup would start making boost around 2000 rpm anyway. My NA KA white smokes the tires easily with a 2000+ rpm launch so would you really need the boost below that point anyway?
