Unhappy this freaked me out

ok,
the weather has been cold lately, with some moisture.

heres the problem:

i went to go driving and almost t-boned a truck because my brakes were soft, or not catching, and i kept drifting, scary.

i didn't hit the truck but it freaked me out.

what was strange was the sound from the front when the brakes failed. what would cause a sound to emit from the brakes ( it sounded like a weird whurring sound, not the engine)????

2 minutes later my brakes were fine, so i fiqure they might of been wet, but i never drove in any water, nor was i driving in rain.

new brakes installed all around 3 months ago, it was reccomended to me that a brake flush be performed. any ideas?

Perhaps there was an air pocket. Did the pedal go to the floor? Did you bleed the system when you changed them?

Why are you posting this in the honda/acura forum? I know that the brake bleeding applies to all cars but , why npot post it in the grand am forum? Not that it matters though b/c your question got answered.

Any kind of moisture can collect on the pads. Its important to pump them a few times hard whenever you think it could have some moisture collected. It's in our road-code here in NZ =P.
