What's your best ideas for low end torque?

Get yourself a set of 4:1 headers, that will give you a little low end torque. But yeah these cars are not designed for that stuff. But hey mods help performance, and that's what matters in the end right? Do it all, or do a swap and then do it all.

Just a thought...

Ive got a swap,a 4-1 header, and a ported and polished engine
and i still dont have any low end torque !! ( i wasnt expecting any tho )
lol
but those just add to high end hp and a little high end torque.
but if you want some torque.. at low end you gotta spray some Nos
but other than that .. not gonna happen!
heheh

A 4-1 header design is more for high end HP, usually at the expense of mid-range and low end...a tri-y header (4-2-1) is more for mid-range. If he wants low end performance, putting on a 4-1 header is not the solution. That header design is best suited for those looking for top-end performance, the gains are in the upper rpm band. I've seen a few 4-1 headers where the lower end torque was a little lower. It certianly isn't going higher with a 4-1. A 4-2-1 would be a better choice as far as installing a header is concerned, it will give him a more of a mid-range kick (and not neccassarily at the expense of the low-end, like a 4-1). Seriously though, if you want more torque, forced induction will help.
