decaying low end torque on VR6...?

Any idea what can cause gradual deterioration of torque
at low RPM on a VR6 engine??
(my car: 1999 "MK3" VR6 GTI - 60,000 orig. mi. - no mods.)

At normal/high RPM, the car acts like normal, but at low RPM
(ie: starting from a traffic light/stop-sign) the engine just
doesn't seem to have the grumpf it used to.

Maybe it's my imagination, and maybe I'm just getting more
greedy for power!?!?!?

Any ideas???

Re: decaying low end torque on VR6...?

Possibly you have a compression leak or your plugs are fouled or maybe you need to clean your MAF or throttle body. There are a number of possibilities that could be wrong. Go to a mechanic(reputable and reliable)and get a tune up then see how your car is. My VR6 has 140,000 and it works fine.
