1992 3.3L random stalls
1992 buick century 3.3L v6 auto
occasionally stalls after driving for awhile. usually will not restart until it cools for some time. ive had suggestions mostly pointing to ignition module and crank sensor. tried changing the ignition module, with no improvement. got the crank sensor, but have been trying to figure out a puller (another post on here cleared that up for me) any other suggestions? possibly fuel related? anything to help, thanks! |

Re: 1992 3.3L random stalls
Most likely the crank sensor is the culprit.
You need to do a little diagnosis before throwing parts at the problem. When the engine stalls and won't restart, does it loose spark or fuel pressure? If it doesn't have spark, does it have injector pulse?

Re: 1992 3.3L random stalls
I also had this same problem. Lucky for me I had access to another century for parts to swap around. (My first thought was the ignition module too.) But after swapping all the sensors around with no change, I went with the knock sensor. so far so good. Have my fingers crossed every where I go!!
