Speakers not playing any sound

Factory stereo system in 94 LHS. I'd been having problems with my automatic climate control system, but now the speakers won't play any sound. Stereo works fine and tunes stations, but no sound comes out of speakers. I checked the connections of all 3 wires that come into the stereo. Is there something that might be wrong?

chryslers had a problem with there volume nobs.... take it appart and spray electronic cleaner all over the knob and keep turning i t off and to full blast until it dries... Also, if it's the six speaker stereo, u might have a problem with the factory amp, wich i believe is located behind the heater controls.. check that out and let me know how it went, if it doesn't work, I can come up with some other solutions for you
