i dont think that the supra engine could even fit in an mr2, but i could be wrong

I agree, supra engines are way to big for the mr2, you might have to bump out alot of stuff. And how r u gonna reroute the intercooler system to the side and have an extension pipe for the intake? Sounds like a lotta shit to do. However i believe with any car, if you have the money u can do whatever you like. Its all about the money.

I agree, the supra motor is way to big for the MR2 engine bay, maybe if you removed the trunk/boot from the car you might have a better chance, but as HondaChili said "its all about the money" its true... money talks!

Get yourself a 3rd gen 3sgte and mod it from there.

Then again, even w/o the mods you're keeping with wrx's

Really can they? i dun know how fast the regualr WRX's run on 1/4 mile but i believe the best a 3sgte can run is 14.7

thats about prelude speed if you ask me.
In my opinion the wrx stock vs mr2 stock , wrx should be able to take it

hey honda chilli he said put a 3rd gen 3sgte in it. The 3rd gen 3sgte has 245hp but people who have dynoed the engine say that it actually puts down close to 255hp rear engine rearwheel drive cars hook up like AWD. couple mods and you'll be eating STI's all day long.later

ive seen a stock wrx drag a jdm mr2 n the wrx is faster but just a little bit, and the mr2 is mid engine not rear..

hmmm i've never heard of a third gen 3sgte motor did that come out for 95+ mr2's? im still abit new to toyota engines
well since we r on the subject can you explain to me what the GTE in 3sgte stands for and how does the 3rd gen 3sgte differ from the 1993 3sgte's?

I don't think the sgte stands for anything, other than just being the engine code... I know that the 'T' lets one know it's a turbo, as opposed to a n/a 3sge.

USDM 3sgte: 200hp

JDM 2nd Gen 3sgte: 225hp
JDM 3rd Gen 3sgte: 245hp

i dont kno about the u.s. version but i kno that in japan the 1994 mr2 had a different turbo, the ct20b that puts out more power. There were also other mods obviosly but i cant list all of them
