Talking just got first car, 3rd gen camaro love it, but need more coolness!!!

Just got a 92 RS 25th anniv. edition maroonish Camaro. I LUV it everyone at school likes it but i have alot of questions. Im not a dumbass when it comes to cars but i would like to know alot more than i do. My first question is, is there any little thing i can do that would let it put out more sound until i can buy a flowmaster or somthin? I dont mean like poke a whole in the pipe im talkin about like takin somthin out or somthin that i can always undo. might be an immature question but i like deep muffler sound anyway also if u were going to ADD spmthing to a stock 92 rs to make more noise for a reasonable price to a jobless 16yr old what would it be? thanks for all the help if u give any

really there isnt much you can do unless you are going to put $$ in it. A nice set of headers, high flow cat, and a nice muffler will do that

the car is a V8 right? if it is then you can get a set of headers for a hundred to 200 dollars. that is your best way to get a nice sounding car. that is the best bolt on for the money as far as performance as well.

Definately headers. If you're looking for something cheaper than that, a cutout would suffice...

You should be able to find a set of headers for a third gen for a couple hundred, plus install. The install you could pretty easily do yourself if you had a day to yourself and some tools...

here is a price guide

Headers 150-500.00 for a set depending on the company and the coating

High flow cat 150-300.00 also depending on the company

complete back exhaust 250-600.00

and someone to put it on varies id say around 300-400.00. Basically a good days work. You can easily put a grand into a nice exhaust system. Really depends how good of a exhaust you want!

I just had a flowmaster muffler welded on , costed like 150 including labor. The mufflers are usually like 75 80 bucks I think . I am very happy with it on my 84. Just the sound makes it so much more fun to drive . Second most fun addition , B&M Megashifter. The auto shift way to pansy and early for my taste , the ratchet action is alot of fun and really helps the car get up to speed faster when you wind it up.

Get a JOB and buy some decent mods such ass muffler and exhaust piping...headers...some sort of air filter mod. Maybe a cam later. A job is essential to fixing up a car or rich parents or credit cards if your a broke mofo.

I have same as BigJustinZ28.. Flowmaster replacement muffler on my 02 SS. Was about $150 here also to put it on. Sounds great, not too loud and your exhaust man can easily put it back stock.
