Question about '99 Regal

I posted this in the Regal forum, but didn't get any response, so I'll try it here.

In my 99 regal GS, the climate control display is really dim. I mean REALLY dim... is there a known fix for this? I have heard talk on the internet about people fixing this because it is a known problem. So I was wondering if the boards (and their infinate wisdom) knew of a way I could fix it, or a part that gets it done, etc.

Thanks all...
