Infiniti Stereo Code Lock Problem
I installed an Infiniti stereo from a 98 Eclipse in to my 93 Eclipse. I have the unlock code that I got from the Mitsubishi dealer by telling him the serial number of the stereo. I entered the code and pushed the TAPE button. The stereo unlocked and seems to work fine.
Now, the problem is that when I turn off the ignition and leave the car for about an hour, the stereo is locked again when I start the car. It does not lock out if I turn off the car and then restart a short time later. What did I do wrong? Did I miss a step in entering the code? Did I mess up on the wiring? Oh yeah, after I unlock the stereo, all of my presets and the time are still OK, they do not get cleared so I think the power is correctly connected. |

Re: Infiniti Stereo Code Lock Problem
I am having the same problem. However, my presets and time do reset when the car is left off for and hour or so. Does anyone know how to fix it?

Re: Infiniti Stereo Code Lock Problem
Not loosing the clock and presets can mean you still lost power for a while. IIRC with my stocker it saved all presets also. But the code was active after a short time. Make sure you have your wires hooked up correctly.
