not always, and even if it make some kit unturnable, we don'T really want to play with your kit once finished

But how does it enhance a model car? The only reason I can think of is that it makes changing wheels easier. Am I right?

you can't put female wheels on a tamiya model for example...so you need to change it,that is the only thing
