putting D15b7 into my STD hatch

i'm sure this is redundant

i recently brought a d15b7 out of a 95 dx to replace the d15b1 that has a blown head gasket......the guy gave me the engine, tranny, axles, shift linkage, motor mounts, intake manifold, header and downpipe, and entire wiring harness for $100. the thing is that it has a hydro tranny and is obd1. i figure that i have everything i need except the ecu.

here's my question....can i put this set-up in my car using the hydro tranny and convert my car over to obd1?? i know that it is possibe...but i don't know everything that is envolved and i don't know if i'm able to use that tranny also

thanx for the help

u can always run the hydro lines cause i dont think hasports came out with the cable to hydro for the d series. converting to obd1 isnt that hard, people sell conversion harnesses. like u say its possible but if you want to spend the money and time doing it.

also i heard that a 5th gen head on a hf block is the shit, good for like 15s or soemthing liek that cause suppose to yield mad compression, idk something i heard

I am a satisfied customer as well... definately get one of these harnesses. Very cool guy and he is a wealth of knowledge to help with the wiring headaches.

the d15b7 is basically an obd0 engine, even though technically its OBD1. Use a PM6 ECU and wire in an injector resistor box. You can even use the OBD1 injectors as long as you have the resistor.

that sounds cool.....but i have to find a wire harness b/c i don't think i can use the b7 harness....

but i have a guy that might trade me a PM6 ecu, resistor box, si intake manifold and injectors for the b7 wiring harness.....hopefully he agrees

use the B7 intake manifold, and also you'll have to get an OBD0 MPFI Distributor.
