2.4L Short Block(New)?

Anyone out there know where I can purchase a new 2.4L short block for my car. I am trying to do a complete overhaul on the engine. Need shortblock to finish. I am putting on a T3/T4 Hybrid and want to put it on a new short block that is newly ported and polished. As well as a few other mods that will not be disclosed to ensure that my Cav is able to embarass just about every import I have seen where I live. I have a friend that is a diehard musclecar entusiast helping me with the engine. Problem is everywhere he knows to go for engines doesn't sell anything below a V8. Should cause for some awesome horsepower gains. Any information would be helpful.

go check out some junk yards when u get back to the good ol u.s. that's the cheapest way, then just take it to a shop for port, polish, and rebuild, u'll have yourself a beast, plus more w/ the turbo. good luck

yea, i'm sure there are some sites out there that sell low mile 2.4 engine but it's gonna be a chunk of change to buy ($1000). u can prolly find a good condition 2.4L in a junk yard for really cheap. make sure u get everything, tranny, mounts, chip.

oh, one more thing, what unit r u in? 233rd bsb?

I am HHC, 22nd Signal Brigade. You are familiar with the Darmstadt community I see. I have a few buddies in the 233rd BSB.
