For the most part, the mechanical end of a 4x4 is new to me. Im coming from the overly annoying vibrate your teeth from 4 cars back genre. Something for which age will more than compensate, thank god.
But anywho, im reading through these threads and it seems to me that a large portion of you are hacking and slashing your way through the wiring harnesses of your vehicles in an attempt to find what wire goes to what, and why all of a sudden have my dash lights stopped working. Not to mention having turn signals emit a solid beam of light.
If you're doing a stereo install, for the love of god invest a whole TWELVE DOLLARS and get a wiring harness insert. You can order one for any vehicle on the planet from
www.crutchfield.com , and they'll have it to you the next day.
Its amazing how much time you can save, and how easy it is to turn that 3 hour install into one.
Not to mention saving the wiring harness from the butcher job that you were going to give it.
