how young is too young?

don't quite know how to word this but here goes, where i work there's a girl that i really like. the only problem is i'm 15 and i know she's at least 16 and not older than 20. so my question is basically how big a difference in age between us can there be and still be considered "ok"?

It depends on her CONFIRMED age. If shes 16, fine. If shes older than 18 or 19, NOT FINE.

This all hinges on the fact you are 15. If she is 18 or older, its peadophilia, no matter what way its looked at.

If you were 18 and she 22, thats cool ya see, cos you're both adults. Its all reletive.

not quite true. paedophilia has nothing to do with whether your both adults or not. peadophilia is when the older person is at least age 16 and at least 5 years older than the younger person.

i know you didn't but for it to be paedophilia she would have to be at least 5 years older than me and now 16 is starting to be considered adult. from what i've heard for it to be paedophilia, the paedophile must be above 16, and the child must be 13 or younger and at least 5 years younger than the adult.

Paedophilia is blanket term here; the legal definition is Unlawfully Sexual Connection with xxxxxxxx. The xxxxx is there because the law is due to be changed here and Im not certain what the new section is titled.

Regardless, its still wrong for an 18+ female to be going out with you, a 15 y/o male.

i'm talking u.s. laws. the laws were set up here so some teenager (mainly boys) could take advantage of young girls. its not wrong for me to go out with her, it may be in new zealand but its different here in the u.s. as far as sex goes, i don't know if it would ever get that far, hell i don't even know if she is over 18 yet. but still the laws are vague once you get up into 16 and up because of boyfriends and girlfriends being different ages.

I don't have the legal age,but I'm sure 16 is now in the clearing in the Us,I'm not exactly sure.If you were to be able to ge with a very pretty older woman,then your friends would forever envy and worship you.Sort of like those guys that worship Finch from American Pie.

ok i did a little research. i don't think she couuld get in trouble for paedophilia while i'm 15 however she could get in trouble for statutory rape. as far as the laws go when i turn 16 it would no longer be against the law for us to have sex.

If she's of legal age and you're not, it's still not statutory rape; due to some weird wording in the law it's not illegal for a woman to have sex with a boy under legal age...at least last time I checked. But hey, if you're not having sex, what's the issue?

I've got a couple problems with this whole thing. Why would an 18 year old girl want to go out with a 15 year old? Thats pretty new to me. Aside from that, any 18 yr old that puts out for a 15 year old kid is either getting paid and/or is loaded full of diseases. Just wait a few years young one.
