Car acting funny
Ok, heres the deal with my 89 DX. When the engine is HOT....or the car is HOT....I go to start the car, but I get nothing.....I get power....so its not a dead battery, the starter does not crank, it does not click, so this would not be a dead spot in the starter....or a starter solonoid......Ive read that the problem could be the main relay.....so after spending $75 cdn to buy a new one, I still have the problem. Could this be an issue with the dizzy ? Or might it be ANOTHER faulty Main Relay ? Whos got my Answers. I need the Honda Gurus. Im not too worried as I still got my 5G Civic....but the 4G is just that much cooler.
Thanks GUys -Brad

sounds like my problem.. almost in that exact order. haha. got a main relay replaced which fixed the problem for a week. then the starter started to die out.. my dad checked the starter and narrowed it down to the cylinoid on the starter.. aka the magnetic starter. the thing that makes the starter gear pop up. he took it out and tested it with the car battery... so we went to the junk yard and got a whole starter for $15.. that fixed my problem.

Tell you car to get serious, get into line and stop acting funny, or else you will get another one and send it to the compactors...
I periodically get the same problem. All I do is clean ALL the electrical contacts on and around the starter and relay, first by washing with engine cleaner, then by using fine sandpaper to resurface all the little contacts. Then she's allright again for another 6 months or so... You will be amazed how much grease, oil, grime and road dirt can affect your electrical system...
