Messed Up DPFI

hi,

I recently changed my mind about converting to MPFi and put all the DPFI stuff back in.
I resoldered the wires in the ECU back together.
However, the problem with the car now is it wont rev past 3.25 RPM.
Im pretty sure i know the problem.
I read a MPFI swap how to and it said instead of cuttin the Red and yellow wire from the old fuel injector plugs you just wire it all into the ECU. So it goes like this:
Pin A1 (cyl 1)
Pin A3 (cyl 2)
Pin A5 (cyl 3)
Pin A7 (cyl 4)

So I cut all those pins.
The major mistake was that if you look at the A side pins the reds are the same and so are the yellow.
So I forgot which one went where.
For example: A1 is red and So is A5. A3 is yellow and so is A7.
Does it matter which order they in on a DPFI since it only has 2 fuel injector plugs?
The way I have it now it runs perfectly but wont rev past 3.25 RPM.
Please help me, thanks a lot.

was it you i was telling u not to cut all the wires and resolder them for the si because it would be a bitch to change back if u wanted too, and just to change the wires needed and just put connectors on them for easy change ?

if it was you, i got alittle i told u so song and dance i would like to show u

Nah its not the Si B side harness that a problem.
Its the A side harness. I followed this MPFI swap walkthrough (shoulda never done that).
http://pub161.ezboard.com/fbseriesal...picID=28.topic

its says to do this and I did this.

E. attach the Brown injector harness wire to pin A1 (cyl 1)
F. attach the Red injector harness wire to pin A3 (cyl 2)
G. attach the Lt. Blue injector harness wire to pin A5 (cyl 3)
H. attach the Yellow injector harness wire to pin A7 (cyl 4)

But does it really matter on a DPFI.
The DPFI has only 2 fuel injector plugs. One thats yellow and one thats red. Does it matter what order the red and yellow wires are in?
The way I have it now it runs perfectly just wont rev past 3.25 RPM.
There are 2 red and 2 yellow wires for A1,A3,A5, and A7.
Please help I realize my stupid mistake.
Thanks

LOL, yea your right.
Im only getting one code now.
8- Top Dead Center Sensor

I used to be getting a code 16, fuel injector but its gone now.

I think the code 8 is probably coming from the dizzy.
But i checked it over and over and the wiring is correct.
Thanks

bad news was driving my car around and the code 16 came back.
Fuel Injector.
I think I messed up the wiring.
But I cant tell which is which.
A3 and A1 are both red.
A5 and A7 are both yellow.
I dont know which one goes where there is no marking or anything to tell them apart.

Re: Messed Up DPFI

Check where you're running your wires to.

A1 = Aux injector positive
A5 = Main injector positive
A3 = Aux injector negative
A7 = Main injector negative

Crank angle sensor was originally at C1 and C2
Did you move them back there?

*This diagram of the ECU Plugs is taken straight out of the Helm's Manual for the 1989 Honda Civic. Some other MPFI instructions have the plugs a reversed way, or the HASport way. I use the Helms way.
