Driver Side Door Lever doesnot work

Hi guys

I am having trouble opening the driver side door of my Z3 Roadster from outside . I am able to open the door from the inside lever. Can some one tell me how can I fix this?

I've got the same problem, but only when the door is exposed to the sun for a while. It's really frustrating... especially in crowded public areas...

i'm going to check that with my car dealer next month... keep you informed.

My dad had the same problem with his z3 but it only happended when it was cold out. But we live in FL so it didnt happen often. We took it in and they said that there was nothing wrong but they say it on the readout from the computer. He got tired of having to open it from the other side. When it happened to me, i came to discover that if you push it in with your kneee while you lift the lever, it works. Butin the end i sprayed som lubricant like wd-40 on the hinges and it doesnt do it anymore. I thought that the door was off alighnment but was wrong. Ill have to wait until next januaryr to see if it really worked. Hope this helps.

I first had my passenger side door not open from outside and now my driver side is doing the same. I also live in Florida and from one day to the next we never know if it will be cold or hot so not sure weather affects it. Please let me know if anyone has the answer. I will have to take mine to the dealer if I do not find an answer soon. Cannot leave the window open all the time.
