87 octane?
I am looking at getting a 1995-1998 Eagle Talon TSi AWD. I was wondering how much horsepower the engine would have with the turbo turned off and if I would be able to use 87 octane gas with the turbo off?

You can remove the WG actuator flapper, and thats as close as you'll ever get to having the turbo "off." In that case you could run 87 octane. It would make LESS power than a non turbo 2 liter, since the compression is low.

????
Now why the hell would you wanna run 87 anyways?? Cheaper?? lol Well you lose with cheap gas you get horible gas mileage and strainin you engine for no reason but to be cheap. You dont save at all with cheap gas like my girl has a 02 camry and with 87 gas she gets about 28mpg on the highway and with 93 she gets around 32-35mpg as you see you dont save at all its just a way for them to make more money cause you have to fill up alot sooner. But thats my 2 cents i personaly run 93 in all my cars cause ima not trying to end their life any sooner lol. Ohh btw my monte wont even start on 87 lol and stalls on 89
owell have a good day all.
