air breathing out is normal. it is called the PCV system...positive crankcase ventalation. there is a tuble on top of the crank case and it goes back into the air circulation units. normal....

hesitation as in what...are u stepppin on the gas, crusin...shifting? does it boww down...feels like no gas, or no power, or shakes.

check ur pms later k.

ya a little more information would deffinately help! But there are a lot of things that could cause the problem, EGR is a common one.

OK, the name is because i did not know that there was a difference between the two when i made the name and i dont feel like changing it. The hesitation is just one or two jumps like it is the timing or misfired in between 2 and 3 thousand. How can i check the egr? I was worried about the the air coming out of the valve cover because i just have never seen that much air come out. I am either getting a new rotor and cap or the msd system. also because i converted from external coil to internal coil i have a black wire with a white tracer that went to the old coil that i cant find out what to do with. One more thing, is the idle electronically controlled?

Don't go through any deep puddles.

Why did you convert it from external coil to internal?

Sounds like you may have a dirty fuel filter to me, you don't notice it when you really punch on it do you?

First things first; a full tune up is nessassry after the swap. I'm assuming you would have already done this, but in the event that you have not, you need to do this.

I had the same problem with mine after I had done the swap, we converted from internal to external, added the MSD with the Blaster coil and she is smooth sailing. The only time I have that problem anymore is when the plugs start to get weak and go bad. I have since put Denso Iridiums in there and have not experienced any power loss yet.

What year is your engine?

After the installation of the Cold Air, and before you start the car, you need to disconnect the battery for a 1 to 2 minutes, then reconnect and start. When you start your car DO NOT sit there and rev it, simply turn the key and let it run by itself for a few minutes. If you listen closly you will hear it idle down gradually after a few minutes, it progessively do this after 3 to 5 minutes. Once it idles down then it safe to get in and go. What you are doing is reseeting the ECU to read the new flow of air and allowing it to MAP. Now you may or may not notice a performance increase immediately. It generally takes 10 to 20 trips of driving for the MAPPing to fully take place. Be patient..

Anyway good luck and greta choice on the H22.. Don't forget to treat it like a new engine, and baby it the first 500 to a 1000 miles, I know its hard to do, as you will want to stomp on it, but you need to allow a break in period, that engine may have been sitting for a long period of time.

Rather be safe than sorry!!
