post your racing streets

I was on mapquest looking up directions and remembered that they have that satillite photo thing. Anyways, here the road everyone races on friday nights, you can see why and the other ones by my house. I usually go there for 1 on 1 or to practice launches, dont blame me, closest track is 2 hours away.

Not a very a good idea if you ever plan to race on those streets again...

You DO know some cops are car enthusiasts too, right? Which means there will be a few that'll pass by this forum...by accident or on purpose.

Give them exact directions to get there while you're at it, why dontcha? Oh wait...you did.

You might as well give him times in which you meet there to race, and your license plate number, home address, name... and the lousy excuse you were going to use when you got pulled over.

Cop - Sir, may I ask why you were speeding on this street?
Kid - ... I had to poop...
Cop - Had?
Kid - When I saw your lights come on... you took care of that problem.
Cop - Sir, That's disgusting...
Kid - You're telling me, I'm sitting in it.
Cop - Sir... Just go...

All the cops in the area obviously know about the road. I've seen the pull over quite a few people already. A lot of us have radars and drive up and down the road a few times to make sure its clear. They got better stuff to do than pulling us over, like eating donuts and talking. But at the end of the month when they need to meet quota, they swarm every inch of the road.

1)ok... radar detector goes off when the guns on ya... too late... i say this cause at least 2 of my friends with radar detectors got tickets, and they SLOWED down when it went off... and they aren't the friend from 2

2)don't know if i can believe this, but my friend has talked to cops and they said there are no quotas..... he has with em to, so he says... i haven't known him to lie, but may distort his thinking...

well you can use radar as a kind of insurance of not getting a ticket if the cop actually isn't radaring you... i passed a cop going the other way today going about 40 in a 25 and all he could do was look at me. i just smiled. he knows i can demand to see the radar gun and if he doesn't show it to me it's unconstitutional

of course if your racing and a cop gets you just cover your ass and try to get out of there without getting beat up

this thread is going to be closed real soon... lol

this has to be one of the stupidest threads ever...

and by the way, you can get pulled over by a cop without them radaring you...

it's called "pacing". trust me, it sticks.
i got "paced" doing 45 in a 25, which, of course, was not true, but it's his word against mine, and it stuck.

so they don't need to have the gun.

also, if they are radaring other people and don't get a gun on you, but see you going faster than the other people that they are radaring, they can get you for that. and it'll stick. again, it's happened.

quotas? not really, but they have "expectations" which should be met...
don't get pulled over at the end of the month, you'll definitely get the ticket.
