BMW 318i 1992 loosing power with a/c on?????

Hello all,

I have a 1992/93 318i model and it seems when I have the a/c on and cruzing at any speed the car seems to loose engine force and then re-gain it. It's pretty much instantly but a level noticeable to me.

This only happens with the a/c on. If the a/c is switched off the car drives fine an no engine force loss occurs.

Could this be an engine management problem?? Any ideas ask I don't want to blindly take it to the mechanic.

Thanks,

Rob
