Okinawans can't drive
Ok out of the few contries I've been to I'd have to say that Okinawa has the worst of the bunch. That even includes Panama, Korea, Philippines, and Mexico. Those were also on my list along with Newyork.
These people are clueless. No need to put on that turning signal jisan! Sure just pull right out in front of me...better yet keep going 30kph I love creeping along the highway. Lets see,....Oh how in the world could anyone be content with driving at a constant speed of 50k. Really people this is uncalled for. Not to mention they never look where there going. You know what the biggest blind spot in an okinawans' car is?? His freakin windshield!! Oh and you know those DVD players inside the cars? STOP IT!! Its making things worse. These people are actually watching movies instead of the road. Another and very "big" problem I have is the fact that there doesn't seem to be any child restraint laws. The kids just bounce around inside freely and never wear seatbelts. Mothers hold their young 3 months old kids in their arms. Hello babyseats stupid!!  There doesn't seem to be a lot of common sense going around here. And to think they spend around = to2000US just to get their license.  I have to stop writing about this. Lately this island has been pissing me off to no ends.

ha I was driving from Taegu Air Base, Republic of Korea to Osan and a tiburon smashed into the GOV suburban b/c the kid tried to pass me and another car was coming so instead of going off the road she smashed into the $40,000 GOV...

All it proves, is that no matter how hard you make it to get a driver's liscense, idiots will still get through the system.

I AGREE. OKINAWANS ARE TERRIBLE DRIVERS. MY WIFE HAS BEEN IN AN ACCIDENT WITH A LOCAL TWICE SINCE WE HAVE BEEN HERE AND BOTH WERE NOT HER FAULT.ON TOP OF THAT, THERE ARE WAY TO MANY DAMN CARS ON THIS ISLAND. IF THERE NOT BEING SOLD THERE CLOGGING UP THE STUPID ASS SIDE STREETS THAT MAKE UP THIS FREAKING ROCK. WHY DONT THEY NAME THEIR STREETS HERE? SOME HAVE NUMBERS FOR STREET NAMES AND THEY CHANGE THE FURTHER YOU DRIVE. THEY SAY THAT THEY WANT ALL THE AMERICANS TO GO HOME, BUT IF WE DID ALL THE BUISNESSES ON THIS HELL ON EARTH WOULD GO BROKE. THEY LOVE OUR CARS ,OUR CULTURE AND OUR WOMEN BUT GOD FORBID THEY LET US IN TO A "JAPANESE ONLY" BAR WITH AMERICAN WRITING ON THE DAMN SIGN AND THE BEATLES PLAYING IN THE BACKGROUND. I WOULD ALSO LIKE TO KNOW WHY THE CAR NAMES ARE IN ENGLISH AND NOT JIBBERISH.

I've never even heard Okiwana, but if I ever go there, I think I will stick to the sidewalks.
I'm probably going to look like an asshole for pointing this out, but The Beatles were British, not American.

Its good to know I'm not alone on this. Oh and I forgot to mention how much I hate the 'over-charging' cab drivers. Whats with these stupid shirts they wear with english all over it but none of it makes sense? Like this one I saw with "Mrs Urine tester" on it. I think August 6, 1945 may have something to do with it. Prevailing winds carried the fall out over here, forever retarding their mental growth. Maybe I went too far with that one, but I had to get it out.
