my car's gears grind when i shift into second...and yes i slam on that clutch too so it ain't that

hmmm sounds like the pads are worn are maybe you need a new tranny
gl thoses things cost alot

well i know that im already gonna be cut a break cause its an 87. i THINK i could just go to a jungyard and find one...plus the tranny im runnin now has got 241,000 miles on it. I was lucky to have the engine with ony 58,000. So heck, while we are at it...any donations? haha

When it grinds going into gear its cuz your sincros and if its 2nd then 3rds on its way.

*synchro* You would replace them by removing & disassembe your trans. Then you would replace all worn parts. Usually some bearings, 2nd gear/synchro & 3rd gear/synchro. If you cant do it yourself its much easier swapping in a rebuilt tranny with warranty. You can find rebuilt units for $300 or less.

No need to slam anything thats how you fuck shit up

try thinner oil or maybe redline if it's on it's last leg

i know a guy that had a sim prob and he changed to 10-30 and it's not as bad now
