ugh...more problems...more headaches

so i was driving home last night after filling up w/ gas and i hear a weird noise from under the hood. i dont think much of it and continue on. next thing i know is that i hear a loud snap. GREAT. so i go to turn a corner, and my car doesnt turn. i look down and read 'check guages'. so i look over and see that my car is overheating @ redline, 260+. GRREATT. so i get home only to find my idler pulley is completely bent and my belt broke. what a great night huh?

i hope you guys have been doin good w/ ur j's lately...

Re: ugh...more problems...more headaches

So I fixed my problem. Got a new pulley, new belt, put it together, everythings fine and dandee. =]

but today, im having a minor problem guys. My car warms up fine when idling, but when I start to drive, the temp slowly decreases going down to almost 100. so what might be causing this?? my guess is that the thermostat got fried out from the temp going 260+, but thats just my guess.

What do you guys think is causing this decrease in temperature while driving?
