gsx or tsi awd
I am looking for a '93 or '94 gsx or tsi. Which is better? I haer these years have the best engine and tranny is this true.

as far as i know the best year for the 1G is early 92.

there both the same in strenght.. i think a tsi would be cheaper tho..

The cars are the same, aside from cosmetics and availablity of some features. If you plan to make more than about 400 hp, I would make the effort to find a 90-92. If its a late 92 (manufactured after say, april 92) I would go to www.vfaq.com to learn how to check that it is in fact a 6 bolt motor. Some (VERY rare) late 92s had a 7 bolt. The 6 bolt is very strong, proven good to over 500 whp stock. Other than that, some things to consider are 3 or 4 bolt rear, 90s had weaker input shaft, 93-94 3/4 gearset shifts better but the eariler style is stronger, etc. Minor differences though unless you plan to race a lot or beat on the car frequently.
