About a month ago I bought a used 98 Chevy Cavalier from a dealership. Yesterday, I put in a new battery and everything went fine, except my CD player. It is stock. It wouldn't even turn on, it just said LOC on the screen. So I looked that up in my manual and that is an antitheft feature that happens when you lose power. I can only turn it off by entering my secret code, which the last person enabled I guess. It also said though that if I forgot my code then I could contact my dealer. So I called them first thing this morning and their service department isn't even open until monday. I know that they will be able to tell me what to do but I would really rather not wait the whole weekend without it. So if anyone knows what to do, has links, etc. they would be appreciated.
Thanks |

Unfortunatly you are going to have to wait until Monday and go to your GM dealer...They can pull a preset unlock code out of your radio and will have to call a secret squirrel number to get the unlock code.
Don't mess with it too much because you can put the radio into a lock down that wii result in them having to take the radio out and send it to a radio shop.
