Hi All,
I recently bought an '03 civic coupe. I am looking to get an aftermarket muffler to enhance HP & appearance. I'm willing to shell out about $150 or so. Could anybody suggest one that's not too obnoxiously loud?

Muffler by itself wont do much, maybe .25HP @ the wheels. I'd take that $150 and save for a good set of springs/shocks, true coilovers, or full cat-back exhaust.

I just bought a 5zeigan rear section exhaust for my car, it wasn't to expensive looks and sounds really good. Its not to loud but nice and deep. Its a way better way to go to than just getting a muffler, because later on down the road u can just buy a mid section and have a full exhaust whenever u get the money.

Any ideas as to how much more HP a cat-back would give me?

not much... 2-5 hp.. im not even sure... but the cheapest way to get an exhaust is to go wid custom piping... i spent a total of $240 for a 2.25in exhaust system... most full cat-backs start at $300... get a tunable muffler to get the sound u want...
