My wifes 97 Lumina LS has been leaking from a hose that is located about in the middle of the firewall. It looks like a small elbow or water faucet. Its about 2" long & then angles down, It has a small hole in the end where the ?coolant? comes out, but it does not attach to anything. Is this a drain of some kind or something. Does not seem to be low on coolant. Please advise I would be greatful, Thanks

That is the drain for the A/C evaporator core....if the fluid is clear, that is condensation from the A/C
If the fluid is green or orange and you are losing coolant, then the heater core is leaking
