If your brake pads are worn w/ grooved/warped rotors, no grease will help that problem.

Sears, it comes in cans that u put in a grease gun. But I'm sure any autoparts store will have a tube of it. Grease is grease, there is no need to pay more because it says Honda on it.

Brake inspection/cleaning/adjustment should be done atleast every 15K on Honda's. You do this for the inspections & to lube things. Brakes get very hot & need to move freely.
Disc brake service: Lift & support vehicle Remove front tires Remove caliper Remove pads & shims Inspect pads, rotors, calipers Lube slides w/ silicone grease& pad backing, shims, reatainers w/ Molykote M77 Squeeze piston back in caliper Re-assemble & spray down with brake cleaner Disc brake service: Lift & support vehicle Remove rear tires Dis-engage e-brake Remove drum Inspect drum, shoes, wheel cyclinders, & bearings Clean w/ brake cleaner Lube all contact points Turn clevis(adjusting screw about 7-10 turns, re-install drum & make sure it moves freely. Re-assemble You could also add a brake bleed into if it has never been done. start with right rear, left rear, right front, left front. |
