Question My 91 Passat Brakes need HELP!!!!

I Bught this car for 400 bucks and couldn't ask for a better running car, but it sat for about 7 months before i bought it and the rear calipers are frozen.... i need direction on the best pratice on how the calipers operate and how to change them out ...

im sure you may have fixed it by now, but my passat had one rear caliper that would get stuck and all i do now is when i release the parking brake i remove the ashtray right behind it and theres 2 cables straight down and i just push them as far back as they will go and thats my temporary fix.
