91 lumina rear brake calipers problem

I have a 91 lumina car with rear disc brakes. I can not get the caliper to retract enough sop I can put new pads in. I have tried screwing the piston back in and it won't go any further. I have tried a c-clamp to no avail. I have released the e-brake cable from the caliper and still can't get the piston back. I am losing sleep. I have pulled out my hair. I have used, I believe, every cuss word known to man. I have begged, pleaded and bargained. Nothing works. Please help!!!!

ahh yeah these bitches l'v been there and back
use chanle locking pliers and turn the piston it willseam as it wont go any farther but it will if its been siezed onces befor u'll have to forse it, just watch that boot

I forgot to mention that these are 4 month old remans. I had the same problem with the original and the parts guy suggested remans. I had to change the bearing assembly (interesting that I also changed the bearings when I put on new calipers and it already went bad) and that is the reason why I had to remove the caliper. So.....second bad bearing assembly and same problem trying to get the caliper compressed. Any idea why the bearing assembly went bad so quick? With a reman caliper any idea why I have to fight the piston back in? Of note, when I changed the bearing assemble the first time I put on new calipers, brake pads and rotors. The caliper was compressed but I could not get the caliper (with pads) over the new rotor until I turned the rotor slightly.

There is a tool designed to do this properly, it depresses the piston while turning it in, any other way is a fight.

i managed to use a standard caliper piston compressor while turning the piston using a pair of vise grips... wasnt too bad....

If all else fails, try taking the bolt out that holds the E brake lever to the caliper, and turning the part the bolt was threaded into. Worked for me once.
