They are all familiar in sound, but a louder, more amplified sound comes from the 2-chamber flowmasters. I have had flows on every mustang I have owned, and although they don't sound quite as good, I even have them on my Dodge Ram.

Borla, your only choice. Hell that exhaust will probably help you keep within 2 car lengths of any F-Body.

yeah 2 car lengths ahead!

but to answer your question i like dynomax. i have the superturbos which arn't as loud but are deep. if you get the ultraflows they are loud, and get louder and more throaty as the rpm's climb. i believe 5.0 mustang did a review on the dynomax mufflers and ratted the ultraflows louder then flowmaster.

Holy shit Dynomax are the most disgusting things I've EVER heard on a nice stang. I loved my Borlas, and made a mistake by switching to Slowmasters. When I run my side exhaust again this spring, I am most definetely going with the Steeda side kit, which has 2.5 piping as opposed to the Borla kit's 2.25.

Dude...shouldn't you be in a Honda or Pontiac forum talking about the cars you own and cool mods for them? I don't see how your colloquial behavior is in any way productive, or even entertaining

Borla blows.
On any car.
Way overrated...Oh yeah, and overpriced too!

Flows on a Stang sound the best.
Mufflex on a F-Body.

PS- We all know Stangs are slow.

Borla are's good but the in no way will give you as deep a sound a 2-chamber flowmasters. Also Mac and Dynomax will give u a deeper sound than Borla but not as deep as the Flowmasters. But I think both those sound better than Flowmasters at high RPM's. Also Borla is still nice with everything Stainless Steel but the are very pricey and are definetly know for HP increases that are way overrated. But any good brand like these will give you thaqt sweet sound.

Flowmaster

There are two different type of 2 chamber Flows which most 5.0 and some 4.6 Mustangs use. They are Delta and Original. The only difference is the volume. The Deltas are going to be quieter. If you put a set of 40 Series Original on a 4.6, it almost sounds like a 5.0. Not quite, but good enough for me.

Just to inform you, Ferrari doesn't use Borla exhaust.
Maybe Borla MAKES an exhaust system FOR the Ferrari, but the stock exhaust IS NOT Borla.
Ferrari's exhaust system was hand made for the longest time.
I'm sure they use castings of their original design in some cars, but the rest is custom made BY Ferrari, FOR Ferrari.

Borla is overpriced and sounds like garbage.
For a Mustang, there is NO BETTER SOUND then 2 chamber Flows.

Hmmm, let me see a hand built limited production car manufacturer using another company's exhaust system? I think not.

If you want the deep throaty sound go with a chambered muffler. Doesn't matter which brand really just find the tone you want.

If you want sound then go with chambered like everyone else said.

But doen't say Borlas suck, that is just plain ignorance! The perforated core design will outflow any baffled muffler and the ss construction will last as long as your car will.
