i just got a 94 altima stick a few days ago... it was very cheap and i just got it to learn stick. didn't think it would have much power at all

a newer aurora pulled next to me today with a radar detector and stuff, looked pretty stock. even though one of my tires was kinda flat and im still learning stick, i figured id give it a go. my launch was kinda pathetic (im thinking because of the tire, im getting it fixed today, leak...), he was ahead of me about 1.5 car lengths, then i shift to second and it was over. i was a good 2 car lengths ahead of him by the time i hit 55.

aren't those things 15 sec cars? i thought he should have killed me. i raced one of those in my 240 and lost by a few car lengths 0-60.

the alty has some power and def jumped forward at 2nd gear. its completely stock. maybe i double clutched or something, lol


btw if anyone wants the 240 let me know, i'll take under 6 g's for it. i put over 7 into it.

hey... lol. ok maybe that wasn't the reason

im gettin better. my launches still suck but my shifting is hardcore now. i was revving my engine at this one guy with a honda (he had an exhaust), and there was a cavalier in the other lane. again once i hit 2nd i flew past everyone, he pulled next to me at the next light, and yelled out, "what the hell you have under the hood?" haha... ALL STOCK. funny...

the 2000 aurora is 15.8 sec the quater mile and the 2001 is 15.7 seconds.

and for you to double clutch u had to basically press the clutch, put the gearbox in neutral, release the clutch, press the clutch again and then put it into gear. Did you do that?

and double clutching is useless really with cars nowadays b/c all the engines nowadays have synchros and it wont make you go faster or anything.
