delta 88 horsepower

I just bought a 1979 delta 88 and it has a 350 olds in it. I was wondering what kind of horsepower this motor has? It seems to be a little fast when it downshifts. Just wondering

the horsepower is somewhere around 160ish stock maybe? with its 2:41 rear end, tons of emissions and what not its bogged down.. if its a chev..the mods are endless... I myself have a 77 2 door that is turnning into a lovely indy track car replica with its chrome rallyes,4 spoke whelle, goodyear eagles, and true dual exhaust, aluminium hood, impalla ss sprins , 9c1 police sway bar, larger rear gear..dunno size yet , and a 1966 oldsmobile 425.

i wanna hear all about dem 77-79's

I recently aquired a 1978 Oldsmobile Delta 88 with 130,000 miles and the 350ci engine. I searched all over and found that there is approx 160hp and 275ft/lbs of torque. So you guys saying there is too much power are actually feeling that torque at around 2400rpm when you shift gears you get into the torque powerband and that is where you feel it pull. I may be off on the numbers, but that is what I read.

Out of curiousity, are there any turbo/supercharger kits available for the 350 in the 78 88's?
